AMARILLO — A Hereford man died early Tuesday, April 23, after the SUV he was driving rolled over in northeast Castro County, Department of Public Safety trooper Daniel Hawthorne said in a news release.
Jonathan Richard Ward, 20, died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday at Northwest Texas Hospital after the 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe he was driving drifted into the south barrow ditch at about 12:33 a.m. on County Road 601 west of Farm-to-Market Road 168, Hawthorne said.
Ward then steered into the north barrow ditch, then overcorrected, causing the SUV to skid and flip once, Hawthorne said.
