AMARILLO — High winds and icy conditions left as many as 10,000 Xcel Energy customers without power overnight, spokesman Wes Reeves said Tuesday morning, April 23.
Power was restored at 4:45 p.m. to Darrouzett, Follett and Lipscomb — bringing 732 customers back online, Reeves said.
Booker and Higgins remain without power.
“It appears we have 11 spans down, so the 311 customers in that community will be off for much longer,” Reeves said.
Reeves said more than 40 sites were damaged on Xcel’s system.
