Midland Lee scored four runs in its final three innings, and the Lady Rebels upset No. 1 Coronado 4-2 in a District 2-5A clash on Tuesday.
Lee scored two runs in the fifth inning, tying the game 2-2. Two homers in the final two innings cemented its victory against the Lady Mustangs.
Coronado had an early lead with Monique Garcia going 2 for 2 with two RBIs in the third and fifth innings. Garcia pitched all seven innings, giving up five hits, no walks, and striking out 14.
Coronado plays at Abilene Cooper on at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
