The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning in effect from 11 p.m. Thursday, April 19, to 9 a.m. Friday, April 19, for the South Plains.
Hard freeze conditions with temperatures dropping below 28 degrees for several hours could occur, according to the service’s website. The timing of this freeze will threaten plants in bloom or with early foliage.
