AMARILLO — A federal judge has dismissed a civil rights lawsuit that a former high school student filed last year against Perryton Independent School District that alleged the district violated the boy’s constitutional right during a 2010 role-playing lesson that pitted classmates against each other as Jews and Nazis.
Andrew Yara, now 19, filed the suit last year against Perryton ISD, alleging he was injured when he was forced during a world history class to play the part of a Jew following the orders of classmates playing the roles of Nazis, the suit said.
