There was not enough evidence to arrest Lubbock’s city attorney for sexual assault as police investigators looked into accusations made by his former daughter-in-law, according to Lubbock Police Department officials.
Detectives handed over their investigation to the district attorney’s office, which has declined to comment on the case.
Lubbock police released a report Wednesday, Feb. 5, revealing Angelina Medina accused Sam Medina of sexually assaulting her during a three-year period from 2009-12.
