The Salvation Army of Lubbock and the Marines are distributing toys from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Monday, Dec. 16, until Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the former United Supermarket at 5001 Marsha Sharp Freeway.
More than 5,000 toys will be given to children from about 2,000 households in the Lubbock area, according to a Salvation Army news release.
The Salvation Army also will distribute food boxes Thursday, Dec. 19, at the South Plains Food Bank to people who signed up for them.
