LUBBOCK (AP) — Record heath as visited West Texas as three cities posted new highs for the Ides of March.
Weather forecasters on Saturday said that Dalhart, Amarillo and Lubbock all notched new highs Friday.
In Lubbock, National Weather Service meteorologist Charles says the city broke a temperature record that had stood for 47 years. The thermometer reached 88 degrees, 2 degrees warmer than the previous record set March 15, 1966.
