Texas Tech University, in conjunction with the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County and University Medical Center personnel, will host and participate in a mass casualty exercise.
The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the rec center and will last approximately two hours, according to a Tech news release.
The purpose of the exercise is to provide responders training in a real-time emergency environment, the release said. The exercise also will assist in the certification of Emergency Medical Services personnel.
