An almost $950,000-project nearly three years in the making to repair a southeast Lubbock County road is set for completion by mid-August, Lubbock County Commissioners said Tuesday, May 28.
Commissioners voted unanimously to award the $946,713 project to Earth Builders Inc. construction of Decatur to rehabilitate nearly 0.7 miles of paved County Road 3600 and drainage culverts just north of Slaton after the stretch of road known as Horseshoe Bend was heavily damaged by the fast-moving flood waters of Hurricane Alex in July 2010.
