Tim Siegel announced Tuesday he will forego his previously announced retirement and remain as the Texas Tech men’s tennis coach for the foreseeable future.
The longtime Tech coach, who just completed his 21st year leading the Red Raiders, was slated to retire at the end of the 2012-2013 season, which concluded at the end of April.
However, his continued love for coaching has kept him at the helm.
“Being on the court is where I’m most comfortable and most confident,” said Siegel, who turned 49 in January. “I have a group of young kids that want to get better.”
