AUSTIN — Texas public schools may soon have the option to have school marshals on campus, thanks to a bill the Texas Senate overwhelmingly approved Wednesday, May 22.
“I am deeply concerned for the safety of my daughters and all Texas schoolchildren during the school day,” said Rep. Jason Villalba, author of House Bill 1009. “I am, however, comforted knowing that Dallas ISD schools have the resources to employ a police department to protect our schools.
