AUSTIN — They pushed hard but in the end, for Tim Lambert of Lubbock and the members of the Texas Home School Coalition he leads, it is a familiar story. Key legislation the coalition supported appears to be dead in the current session that ends May 27.
“I am disappointed, but our view is that we made some progress and we’ll be back next session,” Lambert said in reference to two legislative proposals he described as being “on life support”: The so-called Tim Tebow bill and a parental rights measure.
