Texas Tech picked up a big addition to its basketball program on Wednesday when power forward Alex Foster of Chicago’s (Ill.) Seton Academy made his pledge to the Red Raiders.
Foster will rejoin new head coach Tubby Smith, who had recruited him to Minnesota before being fired in March. Foster had been committed to the Golden Gophers since October but decommitted in April, just two weeks after Smith’s firing.
The 6-foot-8, 215-pounder visited Lubbock later in April and on Wednesday decided Texas Tech was the best fit for him.
