AMARILLO — American Airlines Flight 1099 going from Dallas to Albuquerque, N.M., made an emergency landing about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.
The pilot reported smoke in the cockpit of the Boeing MD-80 and that several alarms and warnings had been triggered, said Patrick Rhodes, aviation director for the Amarillo airport.
The flight landed without any problems and all 117 passengers disembarked the plane, Rhodes said.
