SAN ANTONIO (AP) — San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro faces six challengers Saturday as he seeks a third term in office.
Castro, whose twin brother is Democratic U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro of San Antonio, was looking for a repeat of his performance two years ago. That’s when he took more than 80 percent of the vote in a five-person race. He would need 50 percent of the vote plus one to avoid a runoff.
