Angelo State to
sign Frenship kicker
All-state kicker Josh Sparkman from Frenship is scheduled to sign a letter of intent with Angelo State during a 10 a.m. ceremony today at the high school, the Frenship ISD announced.
Sparkman made 15 of 17 field goals and 58 of 62 extra points last season, helping Frenship go 12-2. He was named Class 4A first-team all-state by the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors and the Texas Sports Writers Association. He also was named All-City and Class 5A-4A All-South Plains.
