Frenship pounded 32 hits — 12 for extra bases — over two games on the way to beating El Paso Irvin 21-2 and Estacado 13-4 at Matador Field on the last day of the First Bank Classic. The Tigers finished 4-1 over three days.
Against Irvin, Dane Powell went 2 for 2 with four runs batted in while Bryndan Arredondo and Hunter Hays had three-hit games. Arredondo drove in two runs. The Tigers also got a 2-for-2 game from Cade Davis and two RBIs from Stephen Smith.
