DALLAS (AP) — The trial has begun in North Texas for a man who prosecutors say slowly starved his 10-year-old son to death.
The Dallas Morning News reports Aaron Ramsey faces life in prison if convicted of injury to a child.
Dallas Detective Daniel Greene testified Friday that Ramsey during talks with police seemed “detached” from the magnitude of what had occurred. Prosecutors contend Ramsey dumped the emaciated body of Johnathan Ramsey in a rural area south of Dallas in 2011. The boy’s remains were found by searchers a year ago in a creek.
