In a reversal of typical recognitions, four of the Lubbock Classroom Teachers Association award winners already had been named statewide winners.
Teacher retiree Pam Allison, Anita Evans of Waters Elementary School, and Pastor Mark Lang of the Dream Center and Flo Touchstone, principal of Evans Middle School, were honored by the Texas Classroom Teachers Association at a banquet during the organization’s convention in January.
The Lubbock CTA honored the four plus six others at the local awards banquet Tuesday, April 14, at the Lubbock Women’s Club.
