EL PASO — The El Paso Police Department has awarded its highest honor to two officers killed in the past year.
Police Chief Greg Allen awarded the department’s Police Cross posthumously to officers Angel Garcia and Jonathan Molina. The El Paso Times reported the decorations were presented to the officers’ families on Wednesday, April 10.
Molina died Sept. 25 nine days after he was beaten on an El Paso street. The beating came after Molina confronted three teens, accusing them of scratching his car, when they attacked him.
