AMARILLO — A wreck on Interstate 40 involving a pickup and a pedestrian left one person dead Monday evening, April 8, Amarillo Police Sgt. Warren Gross said.
About 6 p.m., police responded to a call on Interstate 40 West near the Ross-Osage Drive exit, and found a 32-year-old woman had been hit by a pickup, Gross said. The woman ran south across the interstate and vehicles in the right and center lanes stopped for her, while the driver of a Dodge pickup in the far left lane did not see her coming and hit her, Gross said.
