Texas Tech’s outstanding support of American military veterans earned a special honor from the Military Order of the Purple Heart as the first Purple Heart University in Texas. More than 400 Purple Heart recipients registered to attend the Tech-Kansas State football game last fall. The commitment to veterans should be a source of pride for Tech supporters.
