In nine seasons, Trent Hilliard turned Cooper girls basketball into one of the most consistently successful programs not only on the South Plains but in the state.
Now, he’ll get a chance to do it at the highest level for high schools in the state.
Hilliard announced Tuesday that he has resigned at Cooper and is expected to take over as the new girls basketball coach and athletic coordinator at Frenship, which is getting ready to jump to the 6A level starting with the 2014-15 school year.
