CHARLESTON, S.C. — Sophomore Kimmy Hill tied a personal best and course record with a 5-under-par 67, leading the Texas Tech women’s golf team to the title at the Briar’s Creek Invitational that concluded Tuesday.
Tech shot rounds of 299, 303 and 286 and finished four strokes ahead of Penn State and 11 better than No. 11 Clemson. There were 17 teams in the field.
It was Tech’s ninth tournament win since JoJo Robertson took over as head coach in 2009.
