The Tigers met Monterey on the road on Friday night in a clash of district unbeatens. Frenship earned a statement win when the pressure was on, crushing the Lady Plainsmen 12-5.
“Feels good. This is where we wanted to be, whether you win by one run or whatever,” said Frenship coach Robby Dickenson.
Frenship almost set itself up for a run-rule victory over Monterey after batting through the lineup in two consecutive innings, but the Lady Plainsmen scored three unearned runs off of Rubi Moreno in the fifth to keep the Lady Plainsmen in the game.
