Thompson set for
SWC Hall of Fame
Former Texas Tech basketball star Carolyn Thompson, the school’s career scoring leader, will be inducted into the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame on April 7. The luncheon and induction ceremony will take place at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston.
Thompson played at Tech from 1980-84 and scored 2,655 points, more than any other Tech women’s or men’s player. She was a three-time all-American.
Tech announced Thompson’s upcoming induction and recognized her during the Lady Raiders’ final home game on March 1.
