The YWCA will recognize nine recipients of its Women of Excellence Awards during a program that begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
This year’s honorees are Alona Beesinger, Aretha Marbley, Carolyn Simpson, Dr. Ariwan Rakvit, Laura Vinson, Holly Betenbough, Carolyn Perry, Alejandra Estrada and Lorrie Lushnat Bellair.
Members of the community submit nominations each year for the awards. Then an independent, anonymous panel of judges determines the recipients.
