Mild temperatures were experienced early in the week with many areas reaching the 80-degree mark by week’s end. Northeast Texas and the Upper Coast saw up to 1.5 inches of precipitation. The remainder of the state received little to no precipitation. Most areas of the state reported below normal accumulated precipitation levels.
■ Small grains: Wheat fields began to show signs of growth with warmer weather in areas with adequate moisture. Producers continued to fertilize fields. Irrigation of oat fields continued in South Texas.
