CORPUS CHRISTI (AP) — After Mary Encinia saw her daughter’s lifeless body in a roadside ditch two years ago, it was all she could do to hold it together.
She cried all the time and talked to her daughter as if she were still alive. She became obsessed with the details of Kimberly’s case, scrutinizing parking lots for damaged cars, looking for evidence they were involved in the Feb. 11, 2012, hit-and-run that left her daughter for dead.
As months ticked by without an arrest, Encinia grew increasingly bitter with Corpus Christi police.
