McALLEN (AP) — South Texas authorities say they intend to charge a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer with attempted murder as a result of a domestic dispute.
McAllen police Lt. Joel Morales says the identity of the officer is being withheld pending an initial court appearance. Morales says the officer early Friday shot his girlfriend’s brother. The shooting victim suffered a wound to his head but was in stable condition at a hospital.
