LISD String Fling planned for today
The Lubbock Independent School District’s 29th annual String Fling is scheduled for 7 p.m. today, Feb. 4, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Theater.
The 18 LISD high schools and middle schools, with guest artist Texas Tech Tango Ensemble, will be performing popular music, past and present, as well as some well-known classical pieces.
The evening will conclude with Maestro David Becker, of the Texas Tech Symphony Orchestra, conducting all 18 groups as a combined orchestra.
