Texas Tech’s Cross-Cultural Academic Advancement Center will celebrate the 2014 Lunar New Year with events for students, faculty, staff and community.
The Lunar New Year is a Chinese holiday traditionally celebrated on the first day of the year on the Chinese calendar. According to the Chinese calendar, 2014 is the Year of the Wooden Horse. It begins Feb. 4.
The schedule of events includes:
■ Tet Nyguyen Dan, a Vietnamese festival
4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31, International Cultural Center.
■ Introduction to Peking Opera and its Characters
