Martinson tied
for second in tourney
SOUTHPORT, N.C. — Lubbock golfer Mikel Martinson shot even-par 72 Friday and pulled into a four-way tie for second place going to the final round of the Championship at St. James Plantation.
Martinson, the former Wayland Baptist all-American, is at 1-under and four shots behind leader Ryan Sullivan of Winston-Salem, N.C. He shot 72 and 71 in the first two rounds, staying in the top 10 throughout.
