Efforts of more than 100 volunteers Monday, Jan. 20, brought the latest renovations to the East Lubbock Gateway project. In what was known as Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Day, the time-donors laid bricks to prepare the foundation for the gateway.
“We’re just giving back to our community,” said one of them, 16-year-old Keissa McConic.
