Lubbock police plan to close portions of the intersection of 34th Street and I-27 at 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, as part of an investigation of a fatal wreck.
Eastbound and southbound traffic on the west side of the interstate will be closed for several hours, according to Lubbock police Sgt. Robert Hook.
The actual main lanes of the interstate will not be affected, he said.
The intersection was the scene of a fatal two-vehicle crash about 1 a.m. Friday morning.
Hook said officers at the scene will be able accommodate traffic going to businesses in the area.
