Halloween came early in the Lubbock City Council chambers and Duck Dynasty was the theme.
A handful of Lubbockites wearing beards, bandanas, sunglasses and camouflage shared their concerns about what they call censorship in citizens comments, using the public venue during the council meeting Thursday, Jan. 9.
Praising their costumes, Mayor Glen Robertson told the speakers the city would broadcast all public comments on the city’s cable channel, backing away from a decision last month to omit comments from people who don’t sign up seven days in advance.
