AMARILLO — An Amarillo federal court jury on Monday, March 25, convicted two Amarillo men of bank robbery and other charges in a November hold-up at FirstBank Southwest, 5701 W. 34th Ave.
Donald Joseph West, 49, was convicted Monday of one count of aggravated bank robbery, one count of felon in possession of a firearm and one count of using a firearm during the Nov. 5 bank robbery. He faces between 22 years in prison up to life imprisonment when sentenced.
He was convicted in a 1988 armed robbery in Randall County and a 1987 bank robbery and for evading detention in 2011.
