A federal study will determine effective ways to enhance the flow of Lake Alan Henry, pending approval by the Lubbock City Council.
The Lubbock Water Advisory Commission agreed Wednesday morning, Dec. 4, to contract with the U.S. Geological Survey to study the effects of brush management on the lake’s watershed.
The City Council will vote Dec. 19 whether to award final approval to the contract. Costs to the city are projected at a total of $100,400 over a three-year period.
