LONGVIEW (AP) — A stabbing attack at an East Texas hospital has left one worker dead, another hurt and three visitors wounded — including one critically.
Longview police detained a male suspect following the stabbings Tuesday morning at a surgical unit of Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. CEO Steve Altmiller calls the attack an isolated incident.
Officer Kristie Brian had no immediate information on charges or a possible motive for the stabbings at the Ambulatory Surgical Center, across the street from the main hospital.
