EL PASO — Funding advanced high school programs and offering grants to high school students taking college-level classes is crucial, U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan said Tuesday as he continued a four-state, back-to-school bus tour that took him to West Texas and southern New Mexico.
Duncan visited a community college in El Paso where he met students who are taking advanced high school classes. The visit highlighted the importance of collaboration between high schools and colleges.
