Morris Safe House raising funds
The Morris Safe House will receive a portion of proceeds all day, Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Dickey’s BBQ Pit, 5412 Slide Road and 5217 98th St.

Strut for the Mutts walk is Saturday
The ninth annual Strut for the Mutts one-mile walk will be held at 10 a.m. and the 5K run/walk will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Higginbotham Park, 19th Street and Vicksburg Avenue.
