Christmas seems like a long time way, but a group of Lubbock and area people nicknamed “Stocking Patriots” are busy making stockings that will be sent to military personnel of Kunsan Air Base in South Korea.
The 3,000 stockings, which will be stuffed with items such as small games and decks of cards, will be enough to cover all of the personnel at the base, said organizer Dona Nussbaum.
Students at the Lubbock Independent School District Vocational Training Center traced and cut the stockings as part of the project, which is now in its seventh year.
