House vote against earlier farm bill was good
The first House vote against the earlier farm bill was a good thing. A cut in the food program is a good start, but to bow to the insurance company’s lobby groups is another stupid idea by our elected officials.
Mr. Neugebauer voted for the first version of the bill, which means we would pay a portion, nearly half of the premiums, for the milk industry policies. The current guaranteed milk subsidies are ridiculous, as are most of the farm subsidies.
