Scattered showers and warmer temperatures prevailed across much of the state last week. South Texas and the Plains received the most precipitation, with parts of South Texas recording 4 inches or more. Many areas of Central and West Texas experienced hot, windy conditions with little or no precipitation.
■ Small grains: Winter wheat harvest was in full swing across most of the state. Harvest was temporarily halted in some locations due to rain and wet fields. Harvest and grazing of wheat had wrapped up in some areas and producers began plowing fields.
