Stiles’ funeral set
for Saturday
Funeral services for longtime Texas Tech athletic figure Jess Stiles have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, located at 2021 Broadway in Lubbock.
A visitation is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at LakeRidge Memorial Chapel at 6025 82nd St.
Stiles, 83, died Wednesday after being hospitalized several weeks following a fall and other health problems.
Stiles was a Tech football assistant coach from 1970 through 1977 and later an assistant athletic director.
