PLANO (AP) — A man has died after being rescued from a North Texas golf pond at a time when the course was closed.
Plano Fire-Rescue Capt. Peggy Harrell says the victim was located early Sunday at The Courses at Watters Creek. He later died at a hospital.
Harrell says nearby homeowners around 1 a.m. Sunday reported hearing a man yelling for help from the pond. Emergency personnel located the man who said another person was with him in the water.
Firefighters searched the pond but did not find anyone else.
