SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Gov. Rick Perry has criticized the Obama administration with some of the harshest language since his failed run for president — suggesting he may be gearing up for another White House bid.
Addressing a grassroots Republican event in San Antonio on Friday, Perry said word of the federal government’s sweeping, secret surveillance into the country’s phone records is something he’d expect out of China.
He said federal officials “have spied on us” and suggested it was “an attack on 120 million American phones.”
