AUSTIN – The Texas Senate Select Committee on Redistricting is also hitting the road to hear from citizens in two communities how the Legislature should tackle the historically contentious issue.
Chairman Kel Seliger, R-Amarillo, said Tuesday, June 4, his 15-member panel will hold a public hearing in Corpus Christi on Friday, June 7, and another in Houston on Saturday, June 8.
On Monday, June 3, a House committee by the same name, chaired by San Angelo Republican Drew Darby, scheduled June 6, 10 and 12 hearings in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston.
