Whether you’ve been around long enough to remember World War II or if you’re looking for a great opportunity to bring history to life for your kids or grandkids, Thursday’s D-Day celebration at the Silent Wings Museum should go on your calendar.
The event commemorates the 69th anniversary of the historic Allied invasion on the shores of France.
And it’s free admission for that day at the Lubbock museum.
Children’s educational activities and special exhibits are planned as is a marker dedication for the Breedlove Airport Recorded Texas Historic Landmark at 5:30 p.m.
